Just southeast of Hollywood, Anaheim is a thrill-seeker's paradise. Its most famous landmarks are Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, a family-friendly wonderland of rides, shows, and characters. For more roller coasters and thrill rides at an affordable price, head to nearby Knott's Berry Farm and Knott's Soak City. You can enjoy some of Orange County's best eats in the Packing District, cheer on the Los Angeles Angels at a major league baseball game, and explore the city's rich cultural history in Little Saigon and Little Arabia.
Anaheim, California: What to know before you go
If you're flying in, we recommend renting a car. While parts of Anaheim are walkable, a vehicle is necessary to get around, especially if you want to spend some time on one of Orange County's famous beaches. Expect sunny days and slightly brisk nights after the sun goes down. If you plan to go to Disneyland, crowds typically peak in the summer, around Halloween, and during the winter holidays. You could fly into LAX, Long Beach Airport, or Hollywood Burbank Airport, but the local John Wayne Airport (SNA) is the closest and most convenient option.
